Save South Africa's baboons

Baboon Matters is mobilizing thousands of concerned people from
around  the world to put their #HandsUp4baboons!

Our aim?  Its big!  To create such an enormous wave of support for baboons that the South African Minister for the Environment, Edna Molewa, will change baboons’ conservation status from “least protected” to “protected”.

How you can help:

1. Put your hands up!
Write #HandsUp4baboons on your hands – black permanent marker works best in photographs and washes off easily.

2. On your right hand: #HandsUp
On your left hand: 4baboons

Alternatively, you can make a sign to hold up with #HandsUp4Baboons written on it.

3. Get a friend to take a picture of you, and submit it onto our Gallery.

4. Use the picture as your profile pic on social media, and share it via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

5. Sign our petition to South African Minister of the Environment calling for an immediate moratorium on the killing of baboons in pine plantations around Sabie in Mpumalanga  – SEE PETITION HERE

6. Encourage your friends to do the same!

Thank you!
